Chellaram
Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer
In 1968, after graduating
from McGill
University in
Montreal,
Canada, Sham
Chellaram joined the family business which had
been established by his grandfather in 1915. He commenced his duties in
London and then
moved to Lagos,
Nigeria, where he
later became Managing Director of the Group's trading and manufacturing
activities. In 1981, he returned to
London to oversee
the business in the U.K. and
West
Africa. In 1984, he moved to
Hong
Kongwith his family where the principal business was, and still is, dry
bulk shipping. A restructuring of
the Group took place in 1999, and KC Maritime Limited was established as the
corporate entity to continue the shipping activities under Sham's
Chairmanship.
Mr.
Sunder K. Mansukhani
Chief
Operating Officer
After
completing schooling in Dec 1955, from the
Cathedral
School,
at Mumbai
(India),
joined the Training Ship "Dufferin" and graduated in 1958. Thereafter joined
India's
premier Shipping Company- Scindia
Steam Navigation Co. Ltd. as an Apprentice. Sailed at various Officer ranks
obtaining Master's certificate in 1965 and getting Command of his own ship in
1969. Thereafter came ashore with a Shipping Agency/Stevedoring firm and
commenced that Company's Ship Broking activity. In 1973 moved to be the
Chartering Manager with an Indian ship-owner, where in 1975 he rose to be the
General Manager. Thereafter moved and set up Century Shipping (part of the Birla
group). In 1981 moved to Hong Kong, and as Chief Executive, set up KC Maritime
Agencies Ltd. (the forerunner of KC Maritime) rising to become Executive
Director in 1991. Retired in 1997 and relocated to Pune
(India)
but continues to be a Director of KC Maritime Ltd., as also a Consultant to the
Company. He has resumed full time duties as COO from Sept
2006.

Mr.
M. H. Liang
Mr
M H Liang was born in China
and graduated from National
Merchantile
College,
Shanghai. He has been working in the
maritime industry for over 40 years.
He is the Chairman of Island Navigation Corporation International
Limited.
As
to the maritime community activities, Mr Liang was the Chairman of the
Liberian Shipowners’ Council from
1977 to 1979. He was elected
the Chairman of the Hong Kong Shipowners’ Association in 1983 until 1985. Mr Liang is an Honorary Chairman of the
Institute
of Seatransport
and a Member of the American Bureau of Shipping HKSAR Committee. Mr Liang is a Member of Hong Kong
Maritime Industry Council. He is also a Member of the Departmental
Advisory Committee of Department of
Logistics and Chairman of the External Advisory Board of International
Centre for Maritime Studies of
the
Hong
Kong
Polytechnic
University.
Mr.
Peter Clarke
Mr.
Peter Clarke is a retired investment banker and a permanent resident of
Hong
Kong. He graduated from the City of London
College and has held a variety of senior management positions at both Salomon
Brothers and Merrill Lynch. At the
early stage of his thirty-year career, he worked and lived in a number of cities
like Sydney,
Hong
Kong,
London,
New
York
and Tokyo
before eventually returning to live in Hong
Kong
in 1992.
